About Activate Sport Sports camps, Activity camps and Adventure Day Camps for 5-7 year olds.
Quality sport and activity coaching that is age-appropriate and offers sufficient choice to attract boys and girls across the entire age range of 5-17 years.
Activate Sport have grown from providing specialist football and cricket courses in 2004 to the sport, activity and adventure camps run today; offering a range of key sports, multi-sport, multi-activity and dance and drama.
Our dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated team are continually enhancing our courses and content to ensure that all children enjoy the best possible Activate Sport camp experience, regardless of age or ability level.
2009 sees the introduction of new activities to our adventure camps programme such as Bungee Running, Gladiator games and the Zorb ball. These new activities are added to our successful curriculum which includes Fencing, Archery, Climbing and Abseiling.
With London 2012 just around the corner, look out for our Gold Medal Games camps this year, introducing children to both individual and team Olympic sports. The highlight of each week is the visit from an athlete training for the games in London.
All of our programmes are written and delivered by qualified professional instructors.
In addition to this we are fortunate to have professional sports people who, as well as being integral and committed members of the Activate Sport team, are involved with devising some of the key sport programmes:
Luke Sutton, a founder of Activate Sport and Lancashire County Cricket Club player, devises our cricket programme and visits all of our locations to lend a hand to the instructors when he's not on the road with Lancashire.
We are delighted to be running the Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy in 2009. This summer sees the Ashes back in the UK and when Fred can’t visit one of his academies a top professional cricketer will be coming into the camps to help our ECB qualified staff give the children a truly memorable week.
Activate Sport are also managing the International Netball Roadshow in 2010. The Roadshow is led by Tracey Neville, Karen Atkinson and Olivia Murphy delivering high quality and high fun netball courses throughout the UK. Each of the camps will have a day of coaching from the head coach.
2009 sees the launch of the Lee Westwood Golf Academy; we are delighted to be working with Lee, who will be visiting each of his academies throughout the UK. The highlight will be the chance to win a round of golf with Lee himself, so please click on the link below to find an academy near you: www.leewestwoodgolfacademy.co.uk
We have some fantastic instructors working on all of our courses and their tireless efforts and boundless enthusiasm help to make each week on an Activate Sport camp one to remember.
We look forward to welcoming both parents and children to all of our camps in 2009.
